Chittorgarh & Udaipur Travel Documentary
Armed with the thrill of a semester break and the camaraderie of five second-year souls from VIT Bhopal University, we piled into a bus bound for Udaipur and Chittorgarh, ready to trade textbooks for tales etched in stone and valor.
Our adventure kicked off in Chittorgarh, where the mammoth Chittorgarh Fort loomed before us, a rugged giant born in the 7th century under the Mauryans and later sculpted into a Rajput stronghold. This sprawling citadel, scarred by three epic sieges, stood as a silent witness to battles and acts of unmatched valor.
The Victory Tower, or Vijay Stambh, pierced the horizon, a 9-story triumph raised by Rana Kumbha in 1448 to mark his victory over Mahmud Khilji, its carvings a feast for our curious eyes.
1448 ADNearby, the Rani Padmavati Mahal stood in quiet grace, whispering of the legendary queen whose courage sparked the first of those blazing sacrifices. Her story of valor continues to inspire generations.
1303 ADThe fort witnessed three epic acts of Jauhar - in 1303, 1535, and 1567 - where queens and women chose fiery defiance over submission, their courage echoing through the ages.
Multiple ErasOur journey rolled into Udaipur, a city of shimmering lakes and regal palaces, where the same valorous spirit lingered in every corner, from Lake Pichola to the grand City Palace.
Present DayEvery stone told a story, every carving held a secret. The intricate architecture left us mesmerized and inspired our creative spirits.
Five souls from VIT Bhopal, united by curiosity and adventure, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
The stories of Rajput valor and sacrifice taught us about resilience, courage, and the power of standing up for what's right.
Every photograph captures not just a place, but a feeling, a moment of wonder that will inspire our future projects.
"For our little crew from VIT Bhopal, Chittorgarh and Udaipur became more than a getaway—they were a plunge into a world of battles won, victories towering overhead, and a courage so fierce it left us speechless, forever bonded by the fearless hearts who shaped this epic land."- Anurag Waskle
